20-year-old Girl Passenger Gang-Raped On Board Lucknow-Mumbai Pushpak Express, Four Arrested

Lucknow, Oct 9 (TNA) In a shocking incident a 20-year-old girl passenger was raped on board the Lucknow-Mumbai Pushpak Express, the police said on Saturday. Four persons have been arrested and four involved in the crime are on the run.

According to information available, around eight o'clock on Friday night, seven to eight robbers suddenly entered the Lucknow-Mumbai Pushpak Express train. They then robbed 15 to 20 passengers and snatched valuables including cash from the passengers.

After this, the criminals gang-raped the girl in the moving train. The criminals fled from the spot after the incident. After getting information about the incident, Kalyan GRP started investigation by registering a case of robbery and rape.

GRP commissioner Qaiser Khalid said that the accused were questioned in coach number D-2 of sleeper bogie from Igatpuri coming in Aurangabad Railway District in Lucknow-Mumbai Pushpak Express.

The Railway Police has registered a case in this case under sections 395, 397, 376(D), 354, 354(B) of IPC and under Indian Railways Act 37 & 153.
