63 Police Stations In The Country Do Not Have A Vehicle Of Their Own

New Delhi, March 15 (TNA) There are 63 police stations in the country which do not have any vehicle of their own. Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai has given this information in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.

Answering a written question, he said that there are 628 police stations in the country which do not have telephone connection. At the same time, 285 police stations do not have wireless sets or mobile phones.

Nityanand Rai also told in the House that about 17,535 police stations are being operated in the country.
