AAP’s Big Rally In Delhi Today, Traffic Diversions In Place
New Delhi, June 11 (TNA) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is organizing a big rally on Sunday at Ramlila Maidan against the central government's ordinance. Party spokesperson has claimed that at least one lakh people are going to reach this mega rally. Earlier, Delhi Minister Gopal Rai had reviewed the preparations for the mega rally at Ramlila Maidan.
The party has said that many top leaders including Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann will participate in this rally. Apart from this, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Atishi and Sanjay Singh are also key speakers at the rally.
Delhi Police has made elaborate arrangements for traffic in view of the rally and has closed several routes leading to Ramlila Maidan from 8 am, while some routes have been diverted. The traffic police officer has advised people to avoid coming on these routes.
Passengers going to New Delhi Railway Station, Old Delhi, Nizamuddin Railway Station and ISBT have been advised to leave home early. People have also been advised to use public transport. Drivers have been asked to park their vehicles at designated parking lots.
The roads that will remain closed include Ranjit Singh Flyover from Barakhamba Road to Guru Nanak Chowk. Minto Road to Kamla Market, Vivekananda Marg, JLN Marg (Delhi Gate to Guru Nanak Chowk), from Kamla Market to Guru Nanak Chowk, Chaman Lal Marg, Ajmeri Gate towards Asaf Ali Road, from Paharganj Chowk and Jhandewalan, Deshbandhu Gupta Road to Ajmeri Gate.
The route that have been changed include Maharaja Ranjit Singh Marg, Mir Dard Chowk, Ajmeri Gate, JLN Marg, Bhavbhuti Marg, Minto Road, Delhi Gate, Kamla Bazar to Hamdard Chowk and Paharganj Chowk.
