Acclaimed Classical Singer Rajan Mishra Dies Of COVID, Music Lovers In Shock
Lucknow, April 25 (TNA) COVID claimed one of the biggest names in classical music on Sunday with the death of Pandit Rajan Mishra of the celebrated Rajan-Sajan duo. The famous singer of the Benares Gharana died in New Delhi at the Sir Ganga Ram hospital after losing the battle with Coronavirus.
He was suffering from Corona and had also suffered a heart attack and he required an urgent ventilator which was not available at the St Stephen hospital where he was admitted he was rushed to the Sir Ganga Ram hospital. Rajan Mishra was an accomplished singer who won himself endless admirers across the world. He was honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 2007.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and many other music lovers have mourned the passing away of the veteran singer.
