After 32 Years, 6 Accused Convicted By POCSO Court In Ajmer Sex Scandal

Ajmer, August 20 (TNA) In a landmark legal decision, six persons associated with the Ajmer Dargah, including former Congress leader Nafis Chisti, have been convicted for their roles in the infamous 1992 Ajmer sex scandal.

The accused - Nafees Chishti, Naseem alias Tarzan, Salim Chishti, Iqbal Bhati, Sohail Ghani, and Syed Jameen Hussain, were found guilty by the POCSO court of gang-raping and blackmailing over 100 Hindu girls, primarily from Mayo College in Ajmer, using their obscene photographs.

This case, which has gone on for 32 long years, ends with the conviction marks a closure to one of India's most heinous and long-standing cases of sexual exploitation, with the accused receiving life imprisonment.
