Apple's iPhone 15 Pro Launch Possibly Delayed, Expected To Have Big Camera Upgrades And USB-C
Apple's annual iPhone unveiling in September may face a few weeks of delay this year, according to reports. The upcoming iPhone 15 Pro is expected to receive significant camera upgrades, a USB-C port, and an A16 chipset. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman shared on social media that the iPhone 15 Pro will have internal design improvements for enhanced repairability, following the path of the iPhone 14.
Bank of America analyst Wamsi Mohan predicts a possible October launch due to delays. Tim Lang, another analyst, claims that the iPhone 15 will be costlier than the iPhone 14, with the iPhone 15 Pro priced $100 higher and the iPhone 15 Pro Max $100-$200 more expensive than their respective predecessors.
Despite the challenges posed by the global economy and a projected decline in the smartphone market, Apple aims to ensure timely iPhone 15 shipments, as per a Bloomberg report. Smartphone sales experienced an eight per cent drop in the June quarter, with Apple's sales declining by two per cent while maintaining a 17 per cent market share growth, driven by the demand for smartphones in the $600 range. Chinese brands Vivo and Xiaomi both faced declines of over 10 per cent.
Regarding the Apple Watch lineup, this year's releases are expected to offer minor updates with a focus on faster processors, as per Gurman. Additionally, there are potential updates for the Series 9, including a new case material and the potential of a black titanium option on the Ultra 2.
While the iPhone 15 Pro and Apple Watch are highly anticipated, Apple enthusiasts may need to wait a bit longer for their official announcements due to potential launch delays.
