BJP-Shiv Sena Inching Closer Again: Devendra Fadnavis's Statement Makes Rumour Mills Work Overtime!

Mumbai, July 4 (TNA) In the midst of secret meetings and allegations and counter-allegations between various parties of Maharashtra, Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis has triggered fast and furious gossip in political circles in Mumbai of an imminent rapprochement between friends-turned-foes by saying that BJP has no enmity with Shiv Sena, only ideological differences. He also said that any decision will be taken as per the circumstances.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday on the eve of the monsoon session of the Maharashtra Legislature, Fadnavis targeted the Maha Vikas Aghadi government. But on the alleged secret meeting of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut and BJP MLA Ashish Shelar, he said that I do not know anything about it.

Still, if there is a meeting between the leaders of two parties, there is nothing wrong in that. Shiv Sena has been our old friendly party. With the establishment of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, we developed ideological differences with the Shiv Sena but we have no enmity with him, the two-time Maharashtra CM said.

He said that Shiv Sena formed the government by taking such parties with whom there were ideological differences. Questions of ifs and buts have no meaning in politics, he pointed out. When the time comes, the decision is made according to the situation. Saying so, he did not rule out the possibility of a Shiv Sena-BJP alliance.
