Centre Issues Unlock4 Guidelines, Schools, Colleges To Remain Closed Till September 30

NEW DELHI || The union government spelt out fresh guidelines as it initiated the Unlock4 across the nation during the ongoing COVID pandemic. As per the new guidelines, all educational institutions - schools and colleges would now remain closed till September 30.

The Ministry of Home Affairs while issuing guidelines however announced opening up of more activities, such as resumption of Metro train services and open air theatres. The re-opening of activities will only be allowed in areas outside the Containment Zones.

Students of classes IX to XII can visit their schools on voluntarily basis, after due consent of parents, in areas outside the containment zones only, once in a while to seek clarifications etc.

The Centre has allowed the states and Union Territories to permit upto 50 per cent of its teaching and non-teaching staff to be called to the schools for online teaching and related work and students of classes IX to XII can visit their schools on voluntarily basis, after due consent of parents, in areas outside the containment zones only, once in a while to seek clarifications etc.

Reopening of higher education institutions for research scholars and post-graduate students of technical and professional programmes requiring laboratory or experimental works has also been given a green signal by the government.
