Contract Worker At MEA Arrested For Espionage, Many Secrets Feared Leaked To Pakistan

New Delhi, July 11 (TNA) A person working on contract basis in the Ministry of External Affairs has been arrested for espionage. Based on the input of central agency IB, the Ghaziabad police arrested a person named Naveen Pal.

Pal sent many Indian intelligence, MEA documents and information related to the G-20 meeting to Karachi. The Ghaziabad Police and the Central Agency are now learnt to be interrogating Pal.

Revelations made in the investigation so far say that Naveen Pal came in contact with a girl through social media, then started talking to that girl on WhatsApp.

The virtual number was of Bareilly but when the agency took out the IP address of that number, it turned out to be of Karachi. Some MEA and G20 documents were found from Naveen's mobile phone on which Secret was written.

A woman from Alwar is also on the agency's radar in the case, money was transferred from the woman's Paytm to Naveen's account.
