Customs Seizes Gold Worth Rs 97.5 Lakhs At Kochi Airport

Kochi, February 14 (TNA) The Air Intelligence Unit of the Customs department has seized 2216.07 gms of gold worth Rs 97.5 lakhs at Kochi airport in 2 instances, an official said on Tuesday. In the 1st, a pax coming from Jeddah was intercepted & 4 capsules of gold in compound form, weighing 1059.55 gms, concealed inside his body were recovered.

In the second instance, a passenger coming from Dubai was intercepted and 4 capsules of gold in compound form totally weighing 1156.52 grams concealed inside his body were recovered and seized.
