Darbhanga Airport Is Operational, Third In Bihar After Patna And Gaya
Patna, November 9, 2020|| At a time when the outcome of the closely contested assembly election in Bihar is keenly awaited, people of the state got a good news on Sunday as the Darbhanga Airport became operational. It is now the third operational airport in Bihar after Patna and Gaya, an official informed.
With the commencement of operations from Darbhanga Airport under UDAN on Sunday, the region now is directly connected to metros like Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Sharing the news about Darbhanga airport operationalisation, Minister of Civil Aviation, Hardeep Singh Puri said that "A momentous day for the people of Darbhanga. First Commercial flight under RCS-UDAN lands at the newly operational airport. Great teamwork by local leadership, professionals & officers of Ministry of Civil Aviation (@MoCA_GoI) & Airports Authority of India (@AAI_Official). Heartiest Congratulations!"
People of the state will not get air connectivity at an unparalleled state. "This a great piece of news, Bihar and its people have long been deprived of development and am sure it is a beginning of better things to come",
Anant Jha told The News Agency. Mamta Kumari, a resident of Darbhanga also expressed happiness at the start of flight from Darbhanga.
"My son studies in Mumbai, this service will now allow us to reach him whenever we want and will cut time as well" she said.
