Dehradun, August 24 (TNA) A high-level delegation of priests from the Badrinath and Kedarnath shrines called on Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Dhami in the state capital on Tuesday. The priests were accompanied by legislators Vinod Kandari and Shailarani Rawat.

They meeting was part of the government outreach to the priests who have some confusion about development plans of the state government in these shrines. The chief minister assured the priest community that while the state government was committed to the development of the shrine for more facilities to visitors and devotees, the interests of the priests would be protected at all costs.

No harm will come to the religious practices and traditions being followed by the priests, the Panda samaaj and other stake holders, Dhami further stated. Before the Badrinath Master Plan is put into action, all the sides would be hard out and their doubts will be cleared, he stated to the visiting delegation.
