Despite Some Respite, Covid Restrictions Across India Extended Till February 28
Lucknow, January 28 (TNA) Despite some drop in the current wave of corona, the central government has extended the ban till February 28. Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla has written to the Chief Secretaries of all the States and Union Territories asking them to issue necessary instructions to the concerned authorities for effective management of the pandemic.
He has asked all the States and Union Territories to follow all necessary precautions regarding COVID-19. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the infection rate is still more than 10 percent in 407 districts of the country.
In a letter to the states and union territories, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla said that the active cases of corona are more than 22 lakh. Most of the patients are recovering fast and the number of corona patients in hospitals is less but it still remains a matter of concern.
