Direct Flights From Dehradun To Ayodhya, Amritsar, Varanasi Begin
Dehradun, March 6 (TNA) Flights for four cities started from the hill state of Uttarakhand. The flights were flagged off by chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The flight to Ayodhya Dham from the state capital will cost just Rs 1999. This discount will be valid till March 20 on flight tickets worth Rs 7006. Apart from this, the fare for Pantnagar, Varanasi and Amritsar will also be Rs 1999 on the opening day, whereas the full fare will be charged on regular flights.
All the flights were inaugurated by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday at Jolly Grant airstrip. Under the state government air connectivity scheme, regular flight service has started from Jolly Grant Airport in Uttarakhand to three big cities Ayodhya, Varanasi and Amritsar from Wednesday.
Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari said, the Civil Aviation Department of the government has decided the schedule and fares of the flights starting from Wednesday. The government has given a big discount on the flight fare to Ayodhya Dham by Rs 7006 and has fixed it at Rs 1999 till March 20.
