New Delhi, May 11 (TNA) The weather in Delhi-NCR took a U-turn Friday night due to thunderstorms, rain and strong winds. The storm uprooted trees in many places and disrupted traffic. Vehicles were damaged and 9 flights from Delhi had to be diverted to Jaipur.
Due to the dust storm, the people had to face a lot of hardships. Especially the pedestrians and two-wheeler drivers had a lot of trouble due to this. Trees were uprooted in many places, causing long traffic jams. Also, there were complaints of power cuts in many areas. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain on Saturday and Sunday.
Due to strong winds in the national capital and surrounding areas, the shuttering of a building under repair in Noida's Sector 58 collapsed, damaging several cars. According to the Meteorological Department, the wind will blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour with a dust storm on Saturday. Also, light rain is expected.
