FIR Lodged In Lucknow Against Makers Of Tandav Web Series
Lucknow, January 18 (TNA) Amid the ongoing furore over certain objectionable content on the web series Tandav, being aired on Amazon Prime Video, an FIR has been lodged in Lucknow against the makers, director and writer of the TV show.
The FIR filed at the Hazratganj police station in the state capital by sub-inspector Amarnath Yadav names director of the web series, Ali Abbas Zafar, writer Gaurav Solanki and original content India head of Amazon prime Aparna Purohit. It alleges that the web series show the prestigious post of the prime minister in poor light.
The FIR also details that in the first episode, in the 17th minute Hindu gods and goddesses have been show as speaking and that too in foul language. This web series, the FIR says, also has material which could incite communal passions. Women are also being shown as a subject of humiliation for which a case under sections 153 A, 295, 505-1B, 505 2, 469 and IT Act 66, 66F and 67 has been registered.
