Fog Layer Over Rajasthan, UP, Bihar, Delhi Blinds Traffic, Air-Rail Services Hit
New Delhi, January 9 (TNA) As per Satellite imagery and available visibility data fog layer extended from Punjab and adjoining northwest Rajasthan to Bihar across Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) visibility recorderd in many cities of UP is below zero.
The cities which are facing blinding fog and near zero visibility include Agra-0, Lucknow (Amausi)-0, Varanasi (Babatpur)-25, Bareilly (50), Baharaich (50) and Prayagraj (50). Vehicular traffic has been hit across the state with major highways reporting slow traffic movement while many flights have been diverted or delayed.
More than four hundred trains have been affected due to fog with more than a hundred have either been short-terminated or cancelled and delayed.
