Former Attorney General Soli Sorabjee Dies Of COVID

New Delhi, April 30 (TNA) India lost one of its final legal minds to COVID on Friday as former attorney general Soli Sorabjee passed away at a medical facility in New Delhi. He was 91. Many across the country, including the Chief Justice of India, NV Ramana, have mourned the demise of Sorabjee.

Soli Jehangir Sorabjee was born in Mumbai in 1930 and he began his law practice in 1953 with the Bombay High Court. In 1971, he was designated senior counsel by the Supreme Court. He was also the country's attorney general in 1989 and then between 1998-2004.
