Former Governor Aziz Qureshi Courts Controversy As He Slams Congress For Eulogizing Holy Hindu Rivers Ganga-Narmada
Lucknow, August 23 (TNA) Senior Congress leader Aziz Qureshi, who was the governor of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, is once again in the news for his public statements. This time he has courted controversy is for his statement that it was shameful for Congress leaders to say Ganga-Narmada ki Jai. However, he appeared to backtrack on his statement late Tuesday evening.
After the video of Dr. Aziz Qureshi, who worked as the Governor of the state from June 23 to July 22, 2014, discussions started in the state as well. This video is of 20 August. He says that Congress leaders say Jai Ganga Maiya, Jai Narmada Maiya... they should drown in shame. He also says that Nehru's heirs, the Congress people are now taking out religious tours.

The Muslims of the country will not tolerate this, he further added while daring the party leadership to sack him from the party if they wished so. “Muslims are not slaves of any party, they dont get job, you don't take them in police, army, or navy, then why should Muslims vote for you. There is no problem even if one or two crores die out of 22 crore Muslims” he mused.
