Heavy Rains, Chilly Winds In Uttar Pradesh Add To The Winter Bite

Lucknow, January 8 (TNA) It is raining in some areas of the capital Delhi, NCR and most parts of Uttar Pradesh since Friday night. Due to the intermittent rain and gusty winds, the cold has increased and the temperature has also dropped at many places.

The Meteorological Department has predicted cloudy sky till January 9. It is expected that the rain may continue for the next few hours.

The Meteorological Department tweeted and said, 'Entire Delhi and Delhi-NCR will recieve rain with moderate to heavy intensity in the next few hours. The rains are due to a Western Disturbance.

According to SAFAR, Delhi's air quality index has improved. The air in the capital has improved from the 'poor' category to 'moderate' with an AQI of 132.
