Karuna Shukla, Niece Of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Passes Away Due To COVID

Raipur, April 27 (TNA) Senior Congress leader of Chattisgarh Karuna Shukla passed away at a medical facility in Raipur after a brief battle with COVID late on Monday.

She was the niece of late prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. She is likely to be cremated later in the day, family sources said.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has mourned the death of Shukla as his personal loss. Shukla held many senior positions in the BJP before she switched sides to Congress in 2013. He was elected as an MLA in 1983.
