Legendary Kathak Dancer Birju Maharaj Dies After A Massive Cardiac Arrest

New Delhi, January 17 (TNA) The art and culture world plunged into mourning on Monday morning as legendary Kathak dancer Pandit Birju Maharaj died at his Delhi home after suffering a massive heart attack. He was 83.

Padma Vibhushan Birju Maharaj, according to reports was playful and was talking to his grand sons like any other normal day when he lost consciousness and blacked out. He was rushed to a nearby medical facility where he was pronounced dead.
