MHA Approves Renaming Of Uttarakhand’s Koshyan Kutauli As Pargana Shri Kainchi Dham
Dehradun, June 13 (TNA) The union ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has given a green signal to a proposal mooted by the Uttarakhand government to rename the “Koshyan Kuauli” tehsil as “Pargana Shri Kainchi Dham”. The Under Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs,CS Division/M&G Section, Suneet Dhillon informed of the same in a communique to the office of Pushkar Dhami, chief minister of the hill state.
“This Department/Survey of India has "No Objection" to the proposal received from Government of Uttarakhand for renaming of tehsil "कोश्या कुटोली' as "परगना श्री कैंची धाम”, a tehsil in Nainital District, Uttarakhand State, the letter from the central government said. Dhami is an arden follower of eminent spiritual guru Neeb Karoli Baba, of whom, Kainchi Dham is the seat.
The Government of Uttarakhand, has been advised to endorse copies of the Gazette Notification, to be issued by them in this regard to the offices of Survey of India, the Surveyor General's Office, Survey of India, director, Uttarakhand Geospatial Directorate, Survey of India and Director, National Geospatial Directorate.
Kainchi Dham draws millions of spritual seekers from all over the world every year. Recently Vice-President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar, his wife and Bhojpuri actor and Gorakhpur Lok Sabha MP Ravi Kishen offered prayers here.
