New Covid Guidelines Issued In Bihar: Night Curfew Announced, All Temples And Cinema Halls To Close Down

Patna, January 4 (TNA) With a spike in Coronavirus cases across the state, the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar has announced night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am, beginning Thursday. A state government spokesman also informed that all temples are being closed as well from January 6 to 21. Stadiums, clubs, parks, gymnasiums, cinema halls and multiplexes will also be closed from now.

Under the fresh guidelines issued by the state governments, restaurants and eateries will also be able to open to only 50% of their capacity. Only a maximum of 50 persons can take part in marriages while in cremations and last rites only 20 persons will be allowed. All classes from nursery to VIII will now be in online mode and calsses 9-12th will operate in shifts with only 50 per cent attendance.

Bihar has seen a sudden spike in COVID cases over the past 24-hours, with the state reporting 893 fresh cases and the capital Patna reporting 565 new cases. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has also suspended all his public engagements.
