Noida DM Suhas LY To Participate In Tokyo Para Olympics

Noida, July 16 (TNA) Gautam Budh Nagar District Magistrate Suhas LY will participate in the Tokyo Para Olympics. Suhas LY is the No. 3 Badminton player in the world. He has been selected by the World Badminton Federation and the Indian Association has been informed about this.

Suhas is an Indian professional para-badminton player and IAS officer of the year 2007 batch. Suhas is currently ranked third in the world in men's singles.

He was earlier serving as the District Magistrate of Prayagraj. Then in March 2018, he became the national champion by winning a gold medal in the second National Para Badminton Championship held in Varanasi.

Won Gold In Beijing World Championship
He became the first Indian bureaucrat to win a professional international badminton championship. When he was serving as the District Magistrate of Azamgarh, he won the gold medal by defeating Harry Susanto of Indonesia in the final.

He became the center of attraction at the international level when he won the gold medal. He was the first Indian bureaucrat to represent India at the global level and win a medal. In December 2016, he was awarded Yash Bharti, Uttar Pradesh's highest civilian award.

He received this award from the state government for his performance in para sports on December 3, the World Disabled Day. He has also created a distinguished record of winning several awards while serving in his official capacity. He has been honoured by the Revenue Minister and the Chairman of the Board of Revenue for his duties in revenue administration. The Governor of Uttar Pradesh has also lauded him for his excellent work related to elections.
