New Delhi, March 8 (TNA) On the occasion of International Women's Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that women will be given a discount of Rs 100 on domestic gas cylinders. PM Modi tweeted: Today on the occasion of Women's Day, we have taken a big decision of discount of Rs 100 in the prices of LPG cylinders.

This will not only make the life of women power easier but will also reduce the financial burden of crores of families. This step will also be helpful in environmental protection, which will improve the health of the entire family.

He said that by making LPG more affordable, our aim is to keep working towards the well-being of families. With this we want to ensure a healthy environment. This reflects our commitment to empower women and make life easier for them. This will not only make the life of women power easier but will also reduce the financial burden of crores of families.

The Central Government has provided 14.17 crore free LPG cylinders across the country under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Rameshwar Teli, Minister of State in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, had given this information in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha recently.
