Owing To COVID Pandemic, Submission Of Life Certificate For Pensioners Extended From October 1 To December 31

NEW DELHI || Owing to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and the vulnerability of senior citizens to the virus, the union government has extended the timeline for submission of life certificates for pensioners has from October 1 to December 31, 2020. This information was given by Minister of State for personnel Jitendra Singh in a Tweet.

He said that the decision to extend the timeline for submission of life certificate was taken in view of the vulnerability of elderly population to Coronavirus. He said, the pensioners in the age group of 80 years and above can submit their life certificate till December 31 this year.

The minister also pointed out that all Central government pensioners can submit their life certificate from November 1 onwards till December 31, 2020. Singh further said that during the extended period, all the pensioners will continue to get their pension uninterrupted.
