PIL Against ‘Adipurush’, Hindu Organization Says Film Mocks At Actual Ramayana
New Delhi, June 17 (TNA) Mythological film 'Adipurush' has been released and is getting a huge response from fans across the country. But in the midst of all this, a Hindu organization has expressed its displeasure towards the film. A public interest litigation (PIL) has been filed against the film in the Delhi High Court on behalf of the Hindu Sena. The petitioner says that because of this film, Ramayana, Lord Shriram and the culture of the country are being mocked.
In this petition before the Delhi High Court, the organization has made many allegations against the film. The petition said that the film made fun of 'Ramayana', Lord Ram and "our culture". Apart from this, in this petition, the National President of Hindu Sena has also demanded the Delhi Court to remove the alleged objectionable scenes related to Ravana, Lord Ram, Mata Sita and Hanuman in 'Adipurush'. He says that the scenes are contrary to the depiction of religious characters actually found in the Ramayana.
This modern-day adaptation of the epic Ramayana has been generating immense excitement among audiences since its announcement before the pandemic. The film has become the centre of attention due to its grandiose scale and the star-studded cast.
In 'Adipurush', Prabhas has played the role of Shri Ram, Sunny Singh has played the role of Laxman, Kriti Sanon has played the role of Mata Sita. At the same time, Saif Ali Khan is essaying the role of Ravana. Apart from this, the character of 'Hanuman Ja' is played by Devdutt Nage in the film.
