PM Meets Makers Of Oscar-Winning ‘The Elephant Whisperers’

New Delhi, March 30 (TNA) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met the makers of Oscar winning documentary short film ‘The Elephant Whisperers’. The Prime Minister later tweeted: “The cinematic brilliance and success of ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ has drawn global attention as well as acclaim. Today, I had the opportunity to meet the brilliant team associated with it. They have made India very proud.”

The award winning documentary revolves around Bomman and Bellie, a couple in South India, who devote their lives to caring for an orphaned baby elephant named Raghu, forging a family like no other that tests the barrier between the human and the animal world. It is directed by documentary filmmaker Kartiki Gonsalves in her directorial debut.
