President Droupadi Murmu To Confer 70th National Film Awards In New Delhi

New Delhi, October 8 (TNA) President Droupadi Murmu will confer the 70th National Film Awards for 2022 in New Delhi on Tuesday. Legendary Actor Mithun Chakraborty will be honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest recognition in the field of Cinema.

The Best Actress award will be given to Nithya Menen for the Tamil film Thiruchitrambalam and Manasi Parekh for the Gujarati film Kutch Express. The Best Book on Cinema award will be conferred to Kishore Kumar: The Ultimate Biography authored by Anirudha Bhattacharjee and Parthiv Dhar. Several notable films including KGF 2, Brahmastra and Aparajito will also be recognized for their contributions.

The Best Feature Film will be given to the Malayalam film Aattam, while Ayena will be recognized as the Best Non-Feature Film. In the music category, Arijit Singh will be given the Best Male Playback Singer award, and Bombay Jayashri will receive the Best Female Playback Singer award.
