Ranchi’s CBI Court Convicts Lalu Yadav In The Case Of Illegal Withdrawl Of Rs 139.35 Crores From The Doranda Treasury
Ranchi, February 15 (TNA) In the final case related to the fodder scam, the special CBI court in Ranchi on Tuesday convicted former Bihar chief minister lalu Prasad Yadav. The case pertains to the Doranda treasury under which illegal withdrawal of Rs 139.35 crore was made.
However, the punishment has not been announced yet. If the sentence exceeds three years, then bail will not be available. If the sentence is less than three years, then there is a possibility of bail. Lalu had left for Ranchi from Patna on Sunday itself to appear before the court.
In the case of illegal withdrawal from Doranda Treasury, the court has asked 99 accused, including Lalu, to be present in the court. Lalu is currently out on bail in the same case.
