Samples Of 59 Medicines Fail In Testing, CDSCO Issues Alert
New Delhi, December 5 (TNA) According to the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), in October, samples of 59 medicines, including those of reputed companies, were found to have failed in testing. The quality did not meet their standards. CDSCO, in its recent alert, said that a total of 1105 samples were tested. The drug samples were tested in various statutory laboratories authorized by CDSCO.
The medicines which did not meet the quality standards included Cefixime Oral Suspension IP, Amoxicillin, Potassium Clavulanate and Lactic Acid Bacillus Tablets (GAMPCLAV-625 LB Tablets), Rabeprazole, Sodium (enteric coated) and domperidone (sustained release) capsules.
