Sanskrit To Be Soon Taught In Uttarakhand Madarsas As Optional Subject
Dehradun, October 18 (TNA) Sanskrit can soon be taught in madrasas of Uttarakhand. It will be kept as an optional subject in more than 400 madrasas of the state. Mufti Shamoon, the president of the Madrasa Board, said, 'It will be implemented as soon as the state government gives its permission. If students get a chance to study Sanskrit along with Arabic, it will be beneficial for them.' Shams further said.
“It will be good to start teaching Sanskrit in madrasas. Religious education is necessary for students, but limiting children only to this is playing with their future. Madrasas can keep one hour for religious education every day. If they are not allowed to learn anything else for the whole day, they will become crippled,” he added.
