SC To Hear Petitions On Identification Of Minorities In States Today
New Delhi, April 10 (TNA) The Supreme Court will hear on Monday various petitions related to the identification of minorities at the state level as well as minority issues. A bench of Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah will hear petitions raising various issues related to the identity of minorities.
It may be explained here that this includes challenging the constitutional validity of the National Commission for Minorities Act, 1992 and the Minority Educational Institutions Act, 2004. According to the petition, Hindus are a minority in 10 states.
