Seven New Governors Named, Three Reshuffled in Sunday Rejig

New Delhi, July 28 (TNA) The Narendra Modi government appointed seven new governors on Sunday, while three were reshuffled. According to the information, CP Radhakrishnan, governor of Jharkhand has been given additional charge of Telangana and has been appointed as Maharashtra governor.

Gulab Chand Karatia, the Assam governor of Assam has been named the new governor of Punjab and has also been appointed as the administrator of the union territory of Chandigarh.

Lakshman Prasad Acharya, the governor of Sikkim has been appointed the new governor of Assam and has also been given additional charge of Manipur. Retired IAS Kailashnathan has been made the new LG of Puducherry, Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde is the new governor of Rajasthan wile Jishnu Dev Varma hs been appointed as the governor of Telangana.

Veteran BJP leader and former Bareilly MP, Santosh Kumar Gangwar has been named as the governor of Jharkhand while Om Prakash Mathur, another BJP stalwart has been named as the new governor of Sikkim. Ramen Deka has been appointed as the governor of Chattisgarh and CH Vijayashankar has been appointed as governor of Meghalaya.
