Sonia Gandhi Names Naseemuddin Siddiqui As Media-Communications Head Of UP Congress

Lucknow, February 16 (TNA) Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday named former UP minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui as the head of the communication department in Uttar Pradesh.

A communique signed by KC Venugopal, generals secretary informed that Siddiqui, a one-time close confidante of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati, has been appointed as the chairman of the media and communication department.

Gandhi has also appointed Satish Ajmani as the treasurer of the UP Congress Commitee (UPCC).
