Sulabh Holds “Swacchta Hi Seva” Campaign At 1000 Places In 300 Cities

New Delhi, Oct 1 (TNA) Premier Sanitation Organisation, Sulabh International on Sunday organised “Swachhta Hi Seva” campaign at 1000 locations in 300 cities and towns having active participation of 50000 citizen.

The events were in tune with Prime Minster Narendra Modi’s call to action on cleanliness and creating awareness on “Garbage Free India.”

Sulabh is working in collaboration with Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation in this “jan andolan” of paying “swachhanjali” to Bapu on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti.

The President of Sulabh International Kumar Dilip in a statement said that as an “organisation we are deeply committed to the success of Swachh Bharat Abhyian (SBM-2. O) launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji.”

“Sulabh was founded on Gandhian values by our Late Founder Dr Bindeshwar Pathak, and it is an honour and privilege for us to offer “swachhanjali” to Bapu on the eve of his Jayanti”, Kumar added. He further said ,”we are organising cleanliness activities across the country and Sulabh International will do its utmost to collaborate with our government to make this event a success for the cause of Swachh Bharat.”

Large number of Sulabh Volunteers and common citizens gathered around Sulabh public Toilets across country this morning and cleaned nearby localities . Students and senior citizens also actively participated in the programmes at various cities.
