Terror Attack In Kashmir Leaves Seven Dead, Five Injured

Srinagar, October 21 (TNA) Seven people, all non-locals have been killed in the Gagangir area of ​​Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir in a terror attack late on Sunday night. The deceased include a doctor, identified as Shahnawaz Ahmed of Budgam.

The other 6 deceased have been identified as Gurmeet Singh of Gurdaspur, Punjab, Anil Kumar Shukla and Faheem Nazir of Bahr, Shashi Abrol of Kathua, Mohammad Hanif and Kaleem of Bihar. Five labourers have also been injured in the cowardly act of terror and are currently undergoing treatment at the Srinagar Medical College.

The attack was done on all those involved in the tunnel project being run by the central government. Immediately after the attack, security forces cordoned off the entire area. A search operation is being conducted so that the attackers can be caught as soon as possible. IGP Kashmir VK Birdi has also reached the spot.

The area where the terrorist attack took place falls in the Ganderbal assembly constituency of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Union Home Minister Amit Shah while condemning the incident has warned that the people behind this act will not be spared at any cost.
