Two-Day Nationwide Strike Today And Tomorrow, Normal Life May Be Disrupted

New Delhi, March 28 (TNA) A two-day nationwide strike, starting from Monday could cripple and disrupt normal life in many sectors. The strike called by an umbrella forum of central trade unions to protest against central government policies will also effect the banking sector as the All India Bank Employees Association has announced its support to the strike.

A number of banks, including the State Bank of India, have issued a statement informing customers that banking services may be impacted on Monday and Tuesday.

Apart from banks, workers from various other sectors such as steel, oil, telecom, coal, postal, income tax, copper, and insurance are expected to participate in the strike. Power supply in some regions could be hampered, it is feared.
