NEW DELHI || Union minister and Bihar stalwart Ram Vilas Paswan passed away at a medical facility in the city on Thursday evening. He had recently undergone a heart surgery after he developed some sudden

situation. Paswan was 74.

His son Chirag Paswan broke the sad news to the world in a tweet which was accompanied by a throwback picture of him as a child playing with Paswan, who was much younger then. "Papa… Now you are not in this world but I know you are always with me wherever you are. Miss you Papa," Chirag Paswan tweeted this evening.

Many union ministers, leaders and Bihar politicians have mourned the demise of Paswan. Lalu Prasad Yadav who is in Ranchi jail said he was heart broken at the news as he had very long relations with the deceased leader. Rabri Devi also tweeted in Hindi her condolences and said food will not be cooked in her house today. It is a very sad news, she said.

Four-time UP chief minister Mayawati also condoled the passing away of Paswan and extended her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of Ram Vilas Paswan and his supporters.
