Vehicle Falls In Alaknanda River Near Badrinath, Three Noida Residents Killed
Dehradun/Noida, Oct 18 (TNA) Three residents of Noida returning from Uttarakhand’s Badrinath were killed when the vehicle they were travelling in fell down in the Alaknanda river late on Sunday, police said. Three others have been critically injured.
The mishap took place on the Badrinath Highway in Uttarakhand near the Chamoli market.
The incident happened around 4.30 pm. As soon as the information was received, the police and SDRF team reached the spot and started the rescue. The deceased have been identified as Deepak (27), Arvind (26) and Sandeep Tanwar (31), all from Noida.
Akshit Chauhan, Sector 46, Noida, Harendra and Sushil Awana (both Sector 11, Noida) have been admitted to the district hospital. Gopeshwar SHO Rajendra Singh Rautela informed that the pilgrims were going to Kedarnath after visiting Badrinath Dham.
