With Steady Pace Of Omicron, GoI Writes To States To Consider Measures Like Night Curfew
New Delhi, December 22 (TNA) With a steady increase in the number of Omicron cases in the country, the central government has shot off a missive to governments of all states and union territories to take immediate steps to contain the spread.
In the suggestions made, the government has asked states to activate war rooms and also consider stricter measures like clamping of night curfews once again. India so far has 220 cases of the new Omicron strain of Coronavirus and the foot prints of it have been found in 14 states.
Of these the most number of cases - 65, are in Mumbai whule Delhi has 34 cases. What is surprising to health professionals is the fact that of these 3 have no travel history at all. The letter has been sent to state governments by union health secretary Rajesh Bhushan.
