Now Online Attendance, Identification Of Students In UP Government Schools
Lucknow, November 15 (TNA) Now along with teachers in basic schools, students will also have online attendance and identification through geo-fencing in Uttar Pradesh. The time for teachers to come to school from April 1 to September 30 is 7:45 to 8 in the morning and departure time is 2:15 to 2:30 in the afternoon. Whereas from October 1 to March 31, it is 8:45 to 9 in the morning and 3:15 to 3:30 in the afternoon.
Along with the distribution of tablets in basic schools in the state, digitalization of routine work of schools has also intensified, an official said. In this sequence, from November 20, real-time attendance of teachers and students will be recorded in seven districts of the state including the capital Lucknow. In the next phase, face recognition attendance of teachers and students will also be started.
More than 20 lakh tablets are being provided by the government in Basic and Kasturba schools. Along with this, digitization of attendance register, admission register, class wise student attendance register, MDM register, stock register, inspection register, income-expenditure and check issue register, meeting register etc. is also being done. This work is almost in the final stage.
In this sequence, the government is now starting the process of real-time updation of these registers and attendance of teachers and students in seven districts as a pilot project. This includes Lucknow, Sitapur, Rae Bareli, Hardoi, Unnao, Shravasti and Lakhimpur Kheri. Instructions have been given that in the digital attendance register, the attendance of teachers, employees and students will be registered on the Prerna portal through their mobile numbers.

Director General School Education Vijay Kiran Anand has said that the mobile/tablet will be recognized by Jio facing. Also, while registering attendance on the portal, it will be mandatory for the teacher/headmaster to be present in the school premises.
The principal will do the online verification of the attendance of the teachers and employees of the school. Till the completely digital process starts, this work will be done both online and offline. He has instructed the BSAs of these seven districts to make this system effective and also provide online training for the digital register.
