Owing To Covid Pandemic, Application Date For Nursery Admissions In Delhi Extended

New Delhi, January 7 (TNA) The Delhi government has extended the date of nursery admission in private schools due to the situation arising out of Covid. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Thursday that in view of the increase in the cases of corona infection, the government has extended the last date of application for nursery admission by two weeks.

The nursery admission process in about 1800 private schools began on December 15 and the application deadline was to end on January 7. In this regard, Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia tweeted that in view of the epidemic, the application deadline for admission to nursery and entry level classes in private schools is being extended by two weeks.

The Directorate of Education had released the notification of the admission process last month. According to the notification, the first list of selected children will be released on February 4 and the second on February 21. Even after this, if any list comes, it will be released on March 15.

The admission process will be completed by 31st March. Till the filing of this report, the Directorate of Education had not issued any other notification, an official informed.
