Seminar Held At AMU On The Contributions Of Women Writers
Aligarh, April 25 (TNA) The Centre for Promotional Development of Urdu Teachers (CPDUT), Aligarh Muslim University organized a seminar on "Muashare Ki Tameer Mein Khwateen Qalamkaron Ka Hissa" with an emphasis on women empowerment.
The chief guest, Prof Vibha Sharma, Department of English urged the young faculty members, especially the women teachers and students, who have a knack for writing, to come forward and write in the language of their interest to bridge the gender gap and help empower women. She lauded the writings of Quratul Ain Hider and Ismat Chightai which stand out as enlightening pieces of Urdu literature.
The students and research scholars from other departments participated in the seminar and presented papers on various aspects of literature. Earlier, Prof Quamrul Hooda Faridi, Director, CPDUT welcomed the guests and participants and urged the students to work hard and start writing to develop literary skills. Dr Rafiuddun extended a vote of thanks.
