UP Board Exam: 16 Districts Including Prayagraj Declared “Very Sensitive”, To Be Monitored 24x7

Lucknow, January 17 (TNA) The Uttar Pradesh government has declared 16 districts as sensitive with regards to the UP Board exams starting on January 22. The centers in these districts will be monitored online 24x7. An official informed that for the high school and intermediate examinations of UP Board starting from February 22, the government has identified 16 districts as highly sensitive from the point of view of cheating.

All Divisional Commissioners, DMs, DIGs and education officers have been instructed to exercise special vigilance in these districts. Apart from this, a request has also been made for 24-hour online monitoring of examination centers through CCTV regarding board exams.

The government has said that in the last few years, examinations had to be conducted again in some districts due to mass copying, irregularities and question papers going viral. Under this, Gonda, Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Chandauli, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Deoria, Mathura, Baghpat, Mainpuri, Etah, Hardoi, Azamgarh, Ballia, Mau have been marked as very sensitive from the examination point of view.

Additional Chief Secretary of Secondary Education Department, Deepak Kumar has directed that special monitoring and vigilance should be taken in the examinations of important subjects to be held in these districts. Strict action should be taken against copying mafia and anti-social elements. He has directed that the concerned District Magistrate should hold a meeting for this and ensure that the examinations are conducted without cheating and peacefully.

He has also directed that the strong room should be activated three days before the papers reach the board examination centers and it should be monitored 24 hours. The DVR will have to be kept safe for six months after the paper and copy reach the examination center and after the examination is conducted.

Complete information of the employees and teachers deployed for opening double locks and security of copy-papers will be maintained on a register. DIOS should inspect the respective examination centers and ensure necessary arrangements before the examination. It will be prohibited for any officer or employee to carry mobile phone in the strong room.
