150 Turtles Recovered By RPF From Train In Chandauli

Chandauli, February 14 (TNA) A gang of turtle smugglers was busted in Chandauli district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday by the Railway protection Force (RPF).

An official informed that on-round RPF personnel developed some suspicion on a group of men and women and they were asked to get down the North-east Express train they had boarded.

When their luggage was checked, a whopping 150 turtles were recovered at the Pandit Deendayal railway station. Four men and five women have been detained with regards to the smuggling of these rare turtles.

The RPF officials have since informed that Forest Department of the cache and they have been asked to come and take posession of the turtles.
