Kiran Bedi Blesses Green Warriors Of Naman Vasundhara, Launches In-House Quarterly Newsletter
Lucknow, May 26 (TNA) Celebrated Indian Police Officer turned politician, Dr Kiran Bedi, on Sunday graced the gathering of Naman Vasundhara's Green Warriors and inaugurated their first-ever in-house quarterly newsletter, titled 'Prayas'.
She lauded “Naman Vasundhara’s dedication to environmental well-being” and said that their efforts are sure to inspire others. Earlier at the break of dawn, Naman Vasundhara volunteers assembled at Pipra Ghat, as part of their regular activity undertaken every fourth Sunday of the month. Their mission is to clean the River Gomti embankments and rid them of various waste.
Approximately 300 kilograms of dry garbage and 400 kg of discarded clothes were collected during this cleanup, efficiently collected by the Municipal Corporation's van. Beyond the scope of river cleaning, the trust is also contemplating auditing the functioning of various sewage plants to ensure sustained cleanliness in the area. This initiative reflects the collective effort of the Naman Vasundhara and their unwavering commitment to environmental conservation.
As part of today's activities, a brief Meditation session was introduced for all participating volunteers. Among the forty participants, key figures included Founder Trustee Snehil Lal, Trustee Shahbaz Khan, Siddhartha Tiwari, Khushnaz Homavazir, Mouli Mehrotra, Fahad Mushir, Mani Prakash, Ishita Narang and Saumya Lalwani.
