Lucknow, Sep 30 (TNA) Very soon Ayush Board will be formed in the state and it will be headed by the Director General, with separate directors for other systems, an official said on Saturday. Chief Minister Yogi has given instructions to integrate all these and put them under one board. This will ease the process of establishment and development of new institutions and will also ease the registration of degreed doctors.

An integrated "Ayush Board" will be formed in the state for the operation of institutions related to Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, Naturopathy and Yoga systems and registration of practitioners of this discipline. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave these guidelines in the review meeting of the AYUSH department on Friday. At present three separate boards are running for Ayurvedic, Unani and Homeopathy systems of medicine.

The Chief Minister said that with the changing times, the desire to make a career in Yoga and Naturopathy has increased among the youth. Proposals are also being received from the private sector for the establishment of Yoga and Naturopathy institutes.

In such a situation, action should be taken for regulation of Yoga and Naturopathy institutions and registration of doctors under the AYUSH Board. The Chief Minister said that the proposed AYUSH Board will be headed by the Director General, while different director level officers of Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy and Yoga and Naturopathy systems will run this system.

He also said that the standards set for institutions should be made practical. Uttar Pradesh is fast emerging as a new center of health tourism. Encouraging Indian medical systems like Yoga and Naturopathy will be very useful in this direction. Special efforts also need to be made to promote research studies and patents in new institutes to be established in the state.
