On Lines Of Airports, Bus Ports To Be Developed In Four Cities Of Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, October 28 (TNA) Bus ports will be built on the lines of airports in four cities of the state including Lucknow, will be developed in the next three years, an official said. Airport like facilities will be provided in these bus ports which will be built in Kaushambi, Ghaziabad and Prayagraj, including the bus stand of Vibhuti Khand in Lucknow on PPP model with the government.

Real estate sector company Omaxe Ltd will help the government in development of these plush bus ports, managing director Mohit Goyal said. On Friday, Goyal said on the prospects of the real estate sector in the state that there has been an unexpected increase in the number of flat buyers not only in Tier-1 but also in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

He said that for the first time in UP, airport like facilities will be provided in bus stands. Bus ports will be built in Kaushambi, Ghaziabad and Prayagraj, including the bus stand of Vibhuti Khand in Lucknow on PPP model with the government.

These bus ports, which will be ready in about three to four years, will have air conditioned waiting lounge, live location of buses like terminal, route and time chart, food junction, ticketing system etc. About Rs 500 crore will be spent on Lucknow's bus port.
